Job Title: Working Foreman – Water/Wastewater Construction
Location: DMV Area (Manassas, Leesburg, and surrounding municipalities)
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Superior Skilled Trades is now hiring a Working Foreman for a direct hire opportunity in the water/wastewater construction field. We're looking for hands-on leaders with experience in municipal infrastructure, treatment plants, or pump stations. However, we are also open to candidates with a background as an Industrial Pipe Fitter Foreman, Mechanical Pipe Fitter Foreman, or Wastewater Operator Technician Supervisor—training will be provided for the right fit.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise daily construction activities at water/wastewater treatment plants and pump stations

  • Troubleshoot on-site issues and keep projects running smoothly

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards

  • Create daily/weekly work schedules aligned with project goals

  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractor operations and timelines

  • Delegate work tasks effectively and monitor crew performance

  • Mentor and train field staff to build future leaders

  • Keep projects on schedule and within budget constraints

  • Provide regular updates to management and resolve site conflicts

Qualifications:

  • Experience in water/wastewater construction OR transferable skills from:

    • Industrial pipe fitting

    • Mechanical pipe fitting

    • Wastewater operations or utility technician leadership

  • Prior leadership/foreman or supervisory experience in construction or field operations

  • Strong knowledge of construction safety and job site protocols

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team coordination skills

  • Comfortable working across multiple sites—no daily office check-in required
