DIRECT HIRE: A terrific opportunity to join a dynamic team and complete construction jobs throughout Palm Beach County.  The successful candidate will order materials and train crew members. 

Pay Range: $22 - $27hr (depending on experience)
Base Schedule/Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 7am - 4pm

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership and Supervision
  • Supervise and lead volunteer groups during team builds, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
  • Provide hands-on guidance and instruction to volunteers, teaching them construction skills and best practices
  • Foster a positive, motivating environment that encourages teamwork and engagement
  • Safety Management
  • Oversee the use of safety equipment and ensure that all safety protocols are followed on-site
  • Conduct regular safety briefings and inspections to maintain a safe working environment
  • Supplies and Equipment Management
  • Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and safety equipment, ensuring that all items are in good working condition and readily available
  • Order and replenish supplies as needed
  • Homeowner Communication
  • Act as a liaison between the team and homeowners, providing updates and addressing any concerns
  • Ensure that the needs and expectations of homeowners are communicated clearly and managed effectively
  • Painting and Landscaping
  • Apply basic painting and landscaping techniques to assist in completing home builds and beautification projects
  • Train and guide volunteers in these tasks to ensure high-quality results

Experience:
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a construction or volunteer-based environment
  • Basic knowledge of painting and landscaping techniques

Skills:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to motivate and engage volunteers
  • A proactive, self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and repetitively. (For example, a 5-gallon bucket of paint)
  • Must be physically able to lift with proper equipment, heavy items
  • Must be able to stand, squat, and bend
  • Must be able to climb on and off truck
